But as stated by Monika Ostroff, "Anorexia is an effective way to cope with difficult circumstances because it serves to distract the sufferer from the pain."And the most common way anorexia starts is “dieting”. The problem starts when this gets out of control or become excessive. According to Lindsey Hall "One common misconception is that people become anorexic because they are self-absorbed, vain individuals who place too much importance on their looks."
The percentage of teenage anorexia around the world As you know Anorexia is not the only eating disorder, there is also Bulimia. These are two different types of disorders but they generate the same results, very thin teenagers and sometimes in the extreme death. 1 of every 100 girls in the world may develop an eating disorder, such as Bulimia or Anorexia; this is the equivalent for .18% of the overall population, and of the six billion people in the world that suffer Anorexia. Talking of teenagers there is 5 of 10 GIRLS suffering Anorexia, predictable most of them are teens but they can also result being adults.
Cures for anorexia There is not any proof that Anorexia can be cured, but there is many ways to stop it. For example some people use Hypnosis; they say it helps you remove the negative image and vibes in your body. When you are diagnosed with Anorexia theta first thing you need to do is go to the hospital Katie Metcalfe says "The first 3 months I was in the hospital, they were just trying to feed me up, because I was so weak and so ill". Many people that have experience this disorder say that the only way to cure it is when you realize that you are ill and that you have a disorder, thats the felling that encourage you to go and find help, they say that this is one of the few ways that you could get better and that you would be able to overpass this disorder.
Ecuador's campaign against anorexia and bulimia The Ecuadorian government has made a campaign against obesity and anorexia to promote the healthy eating among the whole country.
The objective of this is to show civilians how to find the balance between eating healthy and exercising. The health minister is taking part in it as well as many other private health companies. There will be many reunions and meetings; including classes for teaching our country the right way of living and being healthy. Cecilia León is also doing a project against anorexia with posters of a Brazilian model who died by anorexia with a 10 year old boy who died of obesity.
